An Enchantress by Barry Smith
This is an amaz'n picture. For one thing, roses are a wonderful foil for Barry's incredible detail. I heard this was the cover to his third book, but as a fellow time-jumper, I can say that ain't gonna happen. I luv how the beaver is enthralled by her magic fingers (please don't go there). As you may already know, here in Colorado, the beaver is like our state bird (mascot?). When the spider people (Europeans) came here, every river and stream had a beaver home (damn....er,dam). Oregon State STOLE the beaver from us, apparently cuz their big college had dibs on The Duck
