British Savage Sword Of Conan

I know this UK comic on Conan was a flop in 1975 (black'n white guts and poor print'n may have added to the ho-humness), but some of the colors on these Barry Smith covers are awesome

Galactus by Jack Kirby

Guess that should read Galactii

Weird Science #9 Cover by Wally Wood

The original art, the EC cover, and then a nifty little print colored by Marie Severin

Strength Of Man Portfolio Plate by Moebius

The rest of the portfolio was ah-ite, but this really shines.  Also, I think this was the only plate that emphasized the mind as a strength

Ancient Hawkman by Jeff Jones

As an ancient myself, I recall this was just a novelty baseball cap sold at the bazaars along the caravan trade routes

If you're a fan of Brooke Shields and old horror movies, you'll appreciate this post title.  Irregardless, the art is amazeballs

Jack Kirby Returns To Marvel

Another appearance of the Twinkie-fist!  Jack usually reserved the Twinkie-fist for Cap'n America, methinks, and this was a great way to start his new chapter( along with Black Panther and the Eternals).  dug it

ACBA Sketchbook

Okay, I just went down that rabbit-hole.  The Academy of Comic Book Arts was a fellowship of pro comic artists from 1970-1977, gave out Shazam awards (note the lightning bolt in Kaluta's last sig), and did an annual sketchbook to raise funds (#buy dinner).  Problem on the annual sketchbooks, I cannae find anything except for 1973 and 1975, and 1973 dinnae even have a cover.  By 1975, I was a sophomore by day and a disco fiend by night, so I missed it
