Captain America by Jack Kirby and Barry Smith

Jack and Barry's collaboration on Bi-Centennial Battles left me puzzled--something wasn't quite right.  But this beautiful sketch from Kirby's Black Book Valentine to Roz became even greater, I think, when Smith applied his magic ink

  1. Hi. I have a piece of scanned Barry Smith artwork that I have never seen on your site. Nor have I seen it anywhere on the internet. I would like to send you a copy but I don't know how. Perhaps you could enlighten me. I would really like you to see it. It is from a local tv guide ad from March of 1973 advertising a week of adventure movies

  2. Of course, I would love to see it, but yer talk'n to a computer illiterate (more like computer moron) here, so I have no clue. If you can scan to your new blog, that would be awesome, but if you need me, I don't know how to send you my kids, who made my blog really possible

  3. Me, again. I submitted the Barry Smith piece to The Marvel Age of Comics blog. Perhaps they will post it. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if they do. Love your blog.
