Might've been for one of the Science Fiction digests, but I don't know if I've seen it at all. Which is odd, considering how many Steranko pieces have been reprinted multiple times. It's such a mixed bag of images that it feels like it might've accompanied a non-fiction article of some sort, or maybe a convention flyer. The griffin is definitely juicing, though.
I'm right there with you (except the juic'n part-does that still mean steroids?). Coulda been in a wide array of locations, and hopefully somebody recalls and clues us in

DeleteByron Preiss' Ellison anthology or something else Preiss?
ReplyDeleteGreat thought, and I dig the memories down that lane, with Chandler and Weird Heroes
DeleteLooks like Talon, his never published comic.
ReplyDeleteAnother great thought. We know so little about Talon's world, maybe spaceships were in the mix
