Heroine by Jack Kirby
Just saw this beaut of an animation presentation piece, and it really took me back. About twenty-five years ago, I was introduced to the net, and all I cared about for some time was using it to search for Jack Kirby. I was amazed that every night I would see at least one piece of art by Jack that I'd never seen before

Still happens to me sometimes. I keep waiting for the book of Kirby pieces that the Ruby-Spears guys announced years ago. I know they auctioned off a bunch of it last year : https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/search.asp?FocusedOnly=1&where=auctions&title=kirby&ItemType=CA
ReplyDeleteWow! I had no idea, but that's awesome stuff which most of, once again, I'd never seen
DeleteNot Kirby at his best, in my opinion. Head is too big, arms are too long, legs are too short. Interesting, but not mind-blowing.
ReplyDeleteI hear that (wow, you just took me back to a time a co-worker, whose native language was not english, said something I agreed with, and when I said, "I hear that!" she looked at me quizzically and said, "Of course you do-you're standing right next to me!")!
DeleteYour comment also takes me back to the first time I posted Jacob And The Angel by Jack, and a comment was left of simply "mind. blown."
Wow, I said "takes me back" three times on this one post. I guess it's time to listen to Baby Come Back again...
