A Kenneth Smith I Hadnae Seen Before



 I had no idea there was stuff like this still being published in 1983 (to me, the fanzine "golden age" was 1966-1976)

    It was an attempt by a guy in Texas to compete with The Buyers' Guide, ostensibly mostly ads. Second ish was all newsprint, but it only ran for four issues (letter size) that I know of. Smith was "art director" which means the empty spaces were filled in with his drawings, some with verses attached. Pretty weird little tangent for Smith,

      Sounds very strange, indeed, but this cover really resonates with me, sump'n about the ship and the beast is quite classic, and onea my new favorite Kenneth Smith illos
