...and Roy's Tarzan illo for DC

  1. To paraphrase the Big Bopper, "you know what I like". I think that Tarzan piece was used as the header for the Korak letter page, with (if I remember correctly) Jeffrey Jones inks over Roy's drawing.

    1. The Universal Tapestry is really being tightly woven on this one! As John in American Grafitti says, "Rock n roll's been goin' down hill ever since Buddy Holly died!," and that was Feb. 3rd 1959, when that plane goes down with Buddy, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper, and their pilot. Beyond tragic. And yes, the Tarzan piece was in the back of Korak, which I had to obtain anyway for Kaluta's Carson of Venus back-ups, and the first time Kaluta sketched Carson of Venus, it looked just like Krenkel! Also, although I had no idea Jeff Jones inked the Tarzan piece, he was also all over Amra. I feel like we just wrapped up another cold case
