Valentine's by Jack Kirby


The one time I met Jack was when he and Roz came to Boulder to see a nephew attending CU.  I angsted over what to get autographed (dinnae know he woulda signed a giant stack if I'd taken it into the shop and/or bought them there).  Ended up just taking New Gods #7 and Atlas (?) to get autographed.  He chuckled at Atlas, then looked over at Roz when he signed this splash, and they both had the sweetest smiles....just noticed the techno heart shape on the red chest of Izaya's armor

    This is the finest installment of the outstanding Fourth World run. Kirby's storytelling was at its zenith. Thanks for the memories.
