The Micronauts were "a little bit" different , but in a good way

The Jack Kirby Tribute Cards From The Silver Age Set

Yeah, yeah, trad'n cards are just trad'n cards, but I've often geeked out on these since Wayne hand'd me the Silver Surfer card back in the day, and said sumpn like, "Cap'n, you like Kirby, doncha?"  uh...yes

New Cap'n Marvel by Gil Kane

Yeah, yeah, just new to me, and only because, as I always say, I'm so broke I cannae even pay attention.  This has been nestled in FOOM #9 for a coon's age, and I never realized.  I remember last century finding all the FOOMs at a shop, and purposely skip'n #9 cause I dinnae like the cover (sheesh!  never judge a book...)!  I dig this Mar-vell, probly cause he's so different from the other Kane Cap'n Marvels (which are also che cool)

Tarzan by Frank Frazetta

This is from way back (Sherman, start the way-back machine) in 1964, when Guitarzan still had his back-up band, The Castaways.  Search castaways on here for much much

It's A Thing Thing by Jack Kirby

As we've all heard, The Thing was the best avatar of Jack, but my query is...was that first image of the fanzine cover (great title for a fanzine, methinks) from somewhere in the FF?  it seems so familiar

New Art Cooper!!!

Yeah, yeah, just new to me, but probly 99 to 1 that it's new to everyone on here.  Art has graciously sent me some scans of some things he's done since the fanzine days of the early seventies (search Art Cooper on here to see what he was doing at Spectrum, if you havenae already)

The Mummy! by Wally Wood and Dan Adkins

Nestled on the inside of Frazetta's great T-Rex cover of Eerie #5 was this submission to Eerie's Monster Gallery.  The whole magazine was amazeballs, with The Jungle by Al  Williamson, and Black Magic, a great wash job by Steve Ditko, and The Swamp God, the cover story, by a third Fleagle, Angelo Torres, and a buncha other great art.  I was ten years old when it came out, and these magazines were kept with the car and motorcycle mags and kids weren't allowed near them (although I would occasionally catch a peep, but all I remember about those "adult magazines" was wondering why women in bikinis were sit'n on the hoods of cars)

Return To The Stars by Jim Steranko

Return to return to return to....infinity, no get-backs.  I love to look at this.  I found the paperback in a bicycle shop that also sold used books in The Springs in 1972, and I heard the choir.  Still do

Release The Kraken! by Mike Kaluta

Onea Sheldon's favorite phrases.  I put the printed splash up in the wayback from a fanzine I had at the time:  Reality #2 (it's got the host from Web 'O Horror cause it was intended for that mag's fourth issue), but I wanted to embiggen the original art, that is even more impressive

A Fistful Of Jack Kirby

Okay, technically, the pinkie is Moebius, but, still...

Colorist Dean White Came By!

Oh my heck!  This is turn'n into a far-out fall for the Cap'n.  First Art Cooper showed up (thank you, Art!), and now Dean White!  Dean just recently commented on a post I did in the way-back, say'n I really enjoyed his version of the classic Conan #24 cover, and here's my other fav of his color'n, but everyone probly knows he's colored a bazillion comics

Folders Full

Okay, pretty lame "folders full" this time.  For one thing, the folders weren't THAT full, just enough to get complaints from the other users on my computer.  Also, most (if not all) of this has been up before.  Ha-zeet, as my buddy Saulito always says
