The Swamp Thing Librarian by Berni Wrightson

Okay, I think I got this right....first, The Swamp Thing lumbers into our lives in a short lead for House of Secrets #92 in the summer of 71, then we see him in the summer of 72 as a librarian in this splash for House of Mystery #206, followed very quickly by his own mag

    Yes, that's Swampy. Take a look at this 1970 prototype of the Swamp Thing by Berni Wrightson which was published as the back cover (in blue) of the Amazing World of DC Comics #6:
