Curiouser. Perhaps delayed or never printed. I'm wondering if Fantastic, like Galaxy, was thinking of running comics, which is something Kinney was engaged in at the time.
Delayed sounds right, but I may have to get on eBay again to result this particular itch. The next issue, Oct. 1970 (amaz'n Gray Morrow cover) list Fantastic Illustrated on the cover, without a name. Although I havenae seen the insides, Jay Kinney is listed as a contributor in the IBD
This is certainly redundant: you rock! Yeah, not really my cupa, but I got to see that great cover again, and some more che nice Jeff Jones. The important thing, as Inspector Clouseau would say, is "case solve ed"
Beautiful. And what's the Jay Kinney feature? I'm very curious.
ReplyDeleteHah! Strange that you should ask! Been through all 148 pages, and no Jay Kinney, and nothing on the contents page

DeleteFound it. Not really worth all the suspense, but at least an answer: https://archive.org/details/Fantastic_v20n01_1970-10_LennyS-cape1736/mode/2up
