Return Of The Mack by Wally Wood and Frank Frazetta




 Critics can be critical (duh), but I love these replies to the critics.  Wally Wood answered his in 1971, after several years of "your old stuff was better" and "you use a lotta helpers."  A coupla years after that, Fritz answered his after several years of "your old stuff was better" and "everything is too simplistic now."  sweet.  Personally, I love all the filigree on all three

    Not too long ago I found a source for one of the images in Wood's beautiful story. The only reason I even know about Matania is that Al Williamson used to mention him in a lot of interviews. https://www.rhdickerson.com/2014/06/weeks-art-matanias-paulina-temple-isis/

      Thanks, that is beautiful. Yeah, Wood often talked about "borrow, copy, paste" as a part of the whole process, neh? Still incredible stuff
