Some Gothic Blimp Works (Thanks, Russ!)

Mike Kaluta, Spain, Vaughn Bode, Berni Wrightson, and Robert Crumb.  So, besides the amaz'n Mal-ig by George Metzger (last post), Gothic Blimp Works had a slew of other great art in its underground "sunday funnies."  Russ and I were just lament'n that these newsprint publications were long destroyed or selling for a fortune, so I thought I'd see what I could dig up.  Fell in love with Kaluta's Star Child when I saw it for the first time today

  1. Yeah, that's the stuff. Thank YOU, Cap.

    1. Hubba-bubba, no trouble! That was a ton a fun, but I couldnae find my fav Crumb out of all that--I recall a full color full page of a big city street scene. Oh, well, I'll keep look'n, and hopefully add it sometime

  2. I've read a lot about Gothic Blimp but this is the first I have seen it in a bit if detail, great stuff by some great artist. Thanks for showing this.

  3. You bet, and I was right there with you, hearing a lot but not seeing much
