Heavy Metal Cover by Jack Kirby





Wow.  Just shown this today, and it kinda blewmymind.  Corben did some great HM covers, and Moebius, but never Kirby

    There's an article in the Kirby Collector (which I haven't read, aside from a preview fragment) about how Kirby was rejected by Heavy Metal, apparently for the Outland adaptation. Looking at some of his personal hand-colored cosmic art, it would've been cool if HM had had the insight to just ask him to go nuts and do his own concepts.
