Madman and Flash Gordon by Barry Smith


Barry is sooo synonymous with both these characters, first on Flash Gordon at Charlton, and then later on Madman when the independents took off.  The big two would deny it all and cover it up, of course, since only two comic companies should exist, and I never lie (except for what I just said)

    True dat. Ming woulda been right up there with Toth-Amon and some of those Turanian warriors, and some of Mongo's cities (although amaz'n stuff by Al Williamson) would have shined with Barry's touch
