The director went on to make the delightful, wonderful The Stunt Man (recipient of a legendary Pauline Kael review) then one more movie and never worked again.
ReplyDeleteSo I would consider that he went on to do Stunt Man as a good sign that maybe this movie doesn't completely suck.
Well, he directed three more movies than me, so he's got that going for him. By the by, the Asian versions of this poster made me blush
