Birth of Ka-zar by Jack Kirby
First the un-used cover, then the published cover, then the great magazine cover 34 years too late--other than Hank's (the Beast) hand, I think the published cover was another editorial huh, whatthe? The insides of X-men #10 were incredible, especially the rideable birds, and Jack's Ka-zar swansong in Astonishing Tales 1 and 2 were also great fun, but those are other posts for other days

Kazar actually goes back a lot further- Pre Timely Comics days. His stories appeared in pulp magazines.
