Channel'n Seuss by George Metger

As I often say, at least since I tuned in and turned on to geo. (think that was Neo's older brother in the Matrix),  Metzger's work often makes me think of the good doctor, none moreso than this page from the 1969 fanzine Promethean #1

Medieval Jack Kirby

Ahright, time for another opportunafish at a vaunted non-prize.  Before we get to that, though, how's about this knight?  I dig him so much, maybe cause he has that lanky, rubbery feel Jack gave his Spidermans, I dunno.  Anyhoo, if you think this dragon is all (as Harrison Ford said in his first movie) "piss yellow and puke green," imagine how green with envy your firends and neighbors would be if you won?  This non-prize is easybreezylemonsqueezie...just tell me where this splash is from

A Berni Wrightson Trio

Yeah, yeah, all up in the wayback, but the first two are originals, and the third is from the fanzine Colour Your Dreams that Berni signed.  Have I mentioned I have onea his Nightmaster episodes autographed?  duhduhduhduhdigg'n it (Apologies, I'm crav'n Mickey D's)

Somea The Blue Beetle Backups by Steve Ditko

Modern (1967ish?) Blue Beetle starts out in the back of Cap'n Atom for four issues, #s 83-86.  The cool little cover banners only happened on three issues (I want another!).  Then, BB gets his own rag, and another back-up, The Question, who was basically a homogenized Mr. A.  This Mr. A splash is from the rare fanzine Eon, which is only rare to me cause I didn't see or hear about it when it came out.  That kinda reminds me of Bill Murray picking the Oscar-winning movies on Week-end Update right before the Oscars.  He eliminated lots of contenders because he just hadn't seen them, and (as I recall), he was usually right
