Conan by Gil Kane and Neal Adams

Statiticians recently confirmed that this blog should technically be called Cap'n's Conans.  Well, excuuuuuse me!  I just dig him so much.  I often reflect on the day I found Conan the Adventurer paperback on a spinner rack at the Nurnberg PX bookstore (newsstand?) and bought it and went immediately across the street to my room in our apartment of Army family housing, and read all afternoon and evening.  That's my first real memory of being hypnotized

Forever People #10 Splash by Jack Kirby

If I could figure out how to bottle and market what this splash did for me, I'd be wealthier than Ted Turner (just had dinner at Ted's Montana Grill, and it's the bomb)

What Is This Is by Mike Kaluta?

This random amazeballs was at the end of a Marvel Magazine article about the new (!) Conan LP, but no mention of what it illustrated.  As usual, I'm beg'n you to help the Cap'n out and clue me in

Ink-Wash Barbarians by Steve Ditko

Several years before Roy Thomas and Barry Smith blew our minds with Conan comics, Archie Goodwin and Ditko were drop'n beautiful barbaric bombs all over Warren mags

Jacob And The Angel by Jack Kirby and...Burne Hogarth?

Lots of serendipity (#co-inky-dinks) going on here.  Just recently saw this umpteenth (okay, fifth) version of Jack's wonderful take on Jake, and around the same time, Russ brings Dynamic Anatomy up (okay, I brought it up, but Russ responded).  I may be as slow as molasses, but when the bells went off, I had to say wow

1973 San Diego Comic Con By Jack Kirby and Neal Adams

Mister Miracle and Tarzan in the building!  Another thorn in my jelly soup I often sip on while lament'n my never attending even one convention-ever

The Chosen One Splash Page by Wally Wood

EC was rock'n it near the end,eh?  Wonder what might've been

Shadows Of The Past by Jim Steranko

....and another trio of great black'n white X-Men

Conan #0 Cover by Barry Smith

Oh My Heck!  First image is the only new one on here, but what a joyride it led to (still miss Paul Walker).  I printed that first image off the net pretty much exactly 23 years ago, filed it in a folder (folders' fool, right?) and promptly forgot it.  If you have any clue where this pre-Conan Conan is originally from, please holla

Folders' Fool (Errr, Folders Full) Part Two

Okay, I'm over this for a while (kinda got my herd of artwork kittens stabled), so there's no part three.  It does, however, remind me of my current fav dad-joke:
A Spanish magician stands before his audience and announces "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, I will now make myself disappear on the count of three!  Uno!  Dos!-" and suddenly, he was gone.  He had vanished...without a tres
