    1. Talk about sychronicity! A decade ago you yourself inspired me to do posts about "New Jack Cities," and this was part of that whole amazeballs magilla, but I have no idea what it was originally from. My best guess would be onea the Marvel "tales" titles back before they were doing super-heroes

  2. I don't know why, but I tend to enjoy the earliest Smith pin-ups to the more polished BWS plates. It feels more like he speaks in the language of superheroes.
Oh, and the Kirby is "I Discovered the Secret of the Flying Saucers!" from Strange Worlds # 1.
Great conglomeration as usual, Cap. Mucchio Fantuccio!

    1. Oooops! I answered Mike before you, but thanks! And, yeah, the early "heroic" Smith was da bomb. Dig your phrase for the Ka-zar pic! Always amazed at the Fantucchio vastness

    1. Right there with you, brother! They called Jack Kerouac the "memory babe," so they'd have to call me the "forgetful babe"! Did find out where it's originally from, by the by. Strange Worlds #1

  4. I love your posts. It's like looking through a comic and paperbook rack in the 70's as well as flipping through some well-worn fanzines.
