    Of course that caption by Roy was a not-so-subtle clue that the pose was from Frazetta's "Conan the Conqueror".

    Of horse....er, of course. Roy was the perfect writer for that time (or any time?)--he was a prolific wordsmith and also totally attuned to my particular brand of geekfanishness
