Clive Reston did look kind of like Connery, but when Gulacy eventually drew James Bond himself, he looked more like Hoagy Carmichael, just like Ian Fleming said he should.
ReplyDeleteI was in trouble from the jump, cause I dinnae read the books until after the first three movies, so Bond will always be Sean Connery. I once yelled hello to SC as his yacht went by an open bridge I was stuck at in Fort Lauderdale, and he waved and smiled just like 007
