Big Barda by Jack Kirby

A Look Back Limited Edition Page by Berni Wrightson

One of my most lamented sales was of this amazeballs book

Magnus The Robot Biter Trad'n Card by Barry Smith

Cannae remember all the hoops to obtain this trad'n card back when it happened, but Cap'n is too lazy to even jump through one, so I never got it, but sure dig the big image of it (first) that I cut off the cover of a Mile-High catalog back around that time

Wally Wood Gets Weird

No, the weirdest thing in this awesome picture is not the creature whose tongue and mouth has evolved into a giant bowl of spaghetti, but the earthman's boots.  Luckily, I could crop this cover to Weird Science #10 so we can't see the full gruesomeness of those "galoshers."  The purple and blue shadows on the nearest moon, on the other hand, is che cool

New Doc Doom by Jack Kirby!

Yeah, yeah, just new to me.  Tucked away inside the first Marvelmania Club Catalog from 1969, I dunnae think this image of the doctor was ever used again.  Ton of other Doc Doom if you search it on here

Aliens VS Alien by Berni Wrightson

Oh, my heck!  Turns out I've always been too broke to even pay attention.  At least my initial miss of this awesome art in 1986 makes SOME sense, since I thought my comic art idols were all done, I was a newlywed, and for some reason had HBO for free that year.  But these originals started popping up on the net like twenty years ago, and I dunnae recall ever see'n this before today

Charging Huns by Frank Frazetta

First is the first time I saw this image, my cover of the Ballantine book, inside of which it is titled Charging Huns.  Everytime I see it since (prints, the Underwood book, the net) its simply called Huns.  Da blog is so big and undocumented, I may be wrong about this, but I think it's the first time I've put it up, which is strange to me, cause I'm so mesmerized

The Traveler by Berni Wrightson

Put this up in the wayback, but just saw this last sketch page (on ebay!), and wanted to yak about it.  The Traveler was conceived by some folks in 1977 after the success of Star Wars, and Berni was doing conceptual art for a movie for 2 years, it looks like.  Woulda been awesome sauce, methinks

Daredevil #7 Original Cover by Wally Wood

I've put up this awesome cover a few times, but nice to see it right before color'n and publication

Web Of Horror #4
