Thuvia by Frank Frazetta

I just realized that in four-plus years, I've never given this great painting a proper posting.  Fritz did this at the height of his career, one of several ERB Mars books that he painted the book club covers, and it is truly the epitome of Frazetta

  1. Thank you for all those great Buscema illustration and drawings! I love that guy so much , i cherish the book Big John Buscema Comics & Drawings. Did you get it? It's awesome, tons of art photographed or scanned directly from originals, with all the dirt smudges and stains that i love to see in an original art page, seems like being able to spy the "kitchen" where that awesome art was cooked. Forgive the weird metaphors , it is a second language! Also thanks for those beautiful Frazetta's roughs and sketches and quick drawings on ink of previous posts, i believe there's nothing at this point i enjoy watching more when it comes to this titan of pure raging ART !!

  2. Weird metaphors are one of my greatest joys, so don't apologize! You must write and speak awesome in Spanish, cuz for a second language, you already knock my socks off in English. Glad to hear you also admire the raw power of Fritz, and, as you probably already knew, he was a big influence on Biz

  3. Oh yes, and its shows! Bisley was one of my first "artist crushes" ever... When at age 14 i discovered Slaine: The Horned God and it blew my head like that guy from Scanners! Then of course i went on discovering his influences
