Starman Zero by Jack Kirby



Looks like in 1947 this concept was so far ahead of it's time that Jack could not land a deal to do this as a newspaper strip.  Waaaay too bad!  Almost 70 years later, and still way ahead of it's time, but that's just another example of the artistic genius that was Kirby

    This would have been a GREAT newspaper strip. Thankfully, Simon and Kirby recycled the concept in the Fighting American series of the 1950's to give us a taste.

    Thanks for the info, Brad! As Sandra Bullock says in Miss Congeniality, "I had NOOO idea!" I love the Fighting American covers, but never pursued the innards
