First is a dedication sketch George did in the front of a copy of the hardbound, and then I put up a panel from page 2 of the actual story cause the sketch mirrors the story panel. In the sketch Seth, the hero, has a thought balloon that not only contained the dedication and artists' sig, but onea the were men of Doc Nameless is hang'n down from it! Genius, methinks, cause I've never seen that use of a thought balloon. The story panel has a word balloon coming from Seth as he sits and reads a scroll. I also read stuff aloud when I'm all alone, and I've often wondered why... I also dig the way Seth's foot is rest'n in shallow water. If you've never been to the great sand dunes in southern Colorado, you should go at least once. Medano Creek at the base of the dunes is a spring and summer phenom of shallow water on sand that is incredible to just walk through
