Tros of Samothrace Covers by Jeff Jones

I've had these up before, but this is bigger, better, faster, stronger.  Was che cool when I found them at a used book store in Nashville years ago, but my copies look like they got in a fight with a guy pack'n a bagful of nickles

  1. Are they worth buying and reading or should I assume the condition is from re-reading?

    1. They're historical fiction, obviously, which is not everyone's cupa tea (although it's hard to imagine anybody disliking Shogun or Roots). That being said, I recall dig'n Talbot's "voice," which is what I'm all about. I think Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe books are "pure drivel," as Wolfe might say, but Stout had, to me, the greatest "voice"
