Apache Kid by John Severin

In the way back, I always said there's no John Severin like a Kull John Severin.  Well, I sit corrected (gotta get onea those stand-up desks).  This is 1956, way before Kull, and it looks as good or even better

  1. He was great on Native American heroes. There was a character called American Eagle, inked by Bill Elder, that appeared in Prize Comics Western in the 50's, sorta reappeared as Cheyenne Hawk in Two Fisted Tales and ended up as Eagle in the 70's for Joe Kubert's Sojourn, reprinted in Warren's the Rook. He was so good with historical costuming and ethnic features, and just kept getting better every year.
