Vanguard's Steranko by Jim Steranko

The new book from Vanguard called Steranko looks like it will have this image as the cover, and I hope what I saw today is just a delay.  My friendly neighborhood comic shop looked up the status of my pre-order on this, and it read cancelled.  Rats!!!  First circumstances drag me away from  the second  Denver Comicon and my op to schmooze with the guy, and now.....oh, well...c'est la vie..."La V"

    This was reprinted in EPIC ILLUSTRATED 19. You can definitely see the influence of Steranko on Indiana Jones.

    Steranko did several design illustrations for Indianan Jones, printed in MEDIASCENE 33, Sept-Oct 1978 (a special and wonderful all-poster issue).
    Like everything else by Steranko, suitable for framing. Two of which have been framed and on my walls for 21 years.
