A Very Personal Post From the Cap'n

Here's a rare glimpse at my own artworkIt was done after seeing Enter the Dragon, in which Bruce Lee tells a student, "It's like a finger pointing to the moon.  Don't focus on the finger, or you'll miss all that heavenly glory."

This image by Wally Wood is from 1957, and to me in looks like a Time Traveler visiting his future self, but 55 years later, I work with this guy.  His name's Paul

  1. Personal work, very cool! I haven't seen "Enter the Dragon" in a long time, I'm afraid I'd forgotten that line, though it certainly is one of many possibilities.

  2. Erik, Erik, Erik! You Must watch it again! Gulacy's Master of Kung Fu is basically a long love letter to that movie

  3. Hey, Cap.

I love the finger/moon image. I'm interested in using it as an illustration in a blog post, with your permission. Please contact me through Google+ (click my name above).

  5. This image is absolutely amazing and I thought it was the perfect interpretation for 'Zen teachings can be likened to "the finger pointing at the moon". Zen teachings point to the moon, awakening, "a realization of the unimpended interpenetration of the dharmadhatu"' And I was just wondering if I could use this as a tattoo?
