Against the Gods by Frank Frazetta




Originally Thongor Against the Gods, I always considered it a second tier Fritz cover, but, hey, it's still Frazetta, and therefore amaz'n.  Everyone knows this became an ad for Jovan cologne, but does anyone else remember seeing this guy holding a giant credit card?  I can't find that ad anywhere (maybe it wasn't legit)

    Every time I see these covers I think " I gotta get that book!".

    Trust me, in this case, you're not missing a thing. The cover is great, but you have that picture here in four versions, and I remember try'n to read the book, giving up, and running joyously back to Heinlein and Howard. This story, in the words of Fritz, "was crap"
