Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good

Some black'n white Jack Kirby

  1. Even Kirby's early work like Stuntman is just brimming full of energy and far out layouts. Phew.

  2. One of my favorite Kirbys is the splash of Stuntman playing Robin Hood---I'll try to add it to this post later

  3. It's like you get your money's worth when you see a Kirby panal, with all that detail; not like Wally Wood extreme detail but so much is going on in his panels you want to frame them and look at them every day. Compare them to the 3rd rate Charlton artists or Don (ugh) Heck or most 50's artists and you think, yes, he is and always will be the best. FYI I am doing a Kack Kirby display for my college library where I am a librarian.

  4. Way cool-now you got me wanting to do another road trip to the everglades! True dat on the assessment of other artists in comparison to Jack (when you say Charlton I get this gruesome visage of Pat Boyette art in my head-yuck)

  5. Hey we are not in the Everglades..you..you Yankee!! Orlando area, Sanford FL.
It a wonder those non-DC/Marvel comics would sell but they had on occasion Sam Glansman, Ditko, Wood art in them too.
