Never really got into GL, which puzzles me.  As a tyke, I ran around with my own Green Lantern ring that I made outta three pieces of a building toy from Germany, a green square with two little connectors on the sides of my finger.  Best super-hero costume ever.  I guess I blame my Marvel Maniac status for most of my later youth

Not only does Jack's moon hopper make me think of The Club steering wheel lock some thirty years later, but the view of that early moon base took me away to 2001, and 2001's moon base also looks kindasorta like The Club

 

Who Is This Is?

The first image, an unlabeled illo in a fanzine, sure looks a lot like the tiny alien in Broken Sparrow by Larry Todd, but it ain't.  And like they always say, if it ain't Broken Sparrow, don't try to Fix-it Sparrow.  See the not-so-distant on here for sump'n more to compare/contrast

Space Truckers by Berni Wrightson

Although the first image has been up on here for almost five years, I dunno if I ever put up the pencils.  As you may know, Space Truckers was a sci-fi comedy movie that starred Dennis Hopper and set all kinds of records (if nobody seeing it in the theater counts as a record).  Oddly enough, the first time I saw Dennis Hopper WAS in a theater, when he rode motorcycles with Peter Fonda in Easy Rider.  It was also the first time I saw Jack Nicholson
