Yeah, more fundundancy, but these two were at the same time (at least in my mind), and an even better pairing of Rich Corben and Bob Kline than the awesome fanzine-turned-underground Anomaly 4
Corben's early fanzine covers just killed me, still do. I remember when I first saw the cover to Fantagor 1, it felt like one of those old 3D Viewmaster images from my childhood. It's something to do with the deep shadows and claymation style forms. This one gives me the same feeling.
Oh, yeah, Corben 3D is spot on, and not just here, or covers (color). Mead was both, and Rats In The Walls just in black 'n white, but he was always zoom'n toward that super-reality that took us to fantasy
