Yeah, yeah, just new to me, but I'm glad I finally saw it! They used onea the panels from my favorite Wally Wood story, the unpublished The Spawn of Venus. Turns out it may be everybody's fav, judg'n by the thousands of views my waywayback post has gotten. Loved it so much, I posted the entire story in three formats


I couldn't resist that collection; it's most of Wood's best stuff. I just wish those Fanta books were a little bigger. They're probably going to get me later this year when they put out the complete Kurtzman Mad set, including the first magazine issues with those psychotic Wood duotone spreads.
ReplyDeleteI remember that issue of Squa Tront that described the 3D process and how the art for Spawn of Venus was produced, showing some of the different layers they created. It looks insane.
Drat! I only have ST #s 3 & 4, and haven't seen this insane 3D process you speak of, although 4 has amazeballs Kurtzman, so another co-inky-dink
