Just the other, I was peruse'n Doc Strange again, and was reminded of this nifty little banner Jack did at the bottom of a Strange Tales cover (see the wayback for some nifty little Daredevil banners by Kirby). Coupla guys here remind me of the Kirby Unleashed cover
Inks look to be Ditko, though. Recently picked up the smaller sized Taschen Spider-Man volume 1. I don't remember how many times I've bought those comics.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hear that. First time I got a large quantity of Ditko's Strange and Spidey was 1970, and they were dirt cheap. My junior high (middle school) buddy Dan recommended, and much like recommended binge-watch'n nowadays, I figured why not? Gave those away as I left for Germany, and probly re-acquired many of those four or five times since, and now relax to some Masterworks compilations. Don't know why, but your comment made me think of Jerry Garcia's quote, "What a long, strange trip it's been"
