Onea my kids and I dug the John Carter movie when it came out, so she got me the Gil Kane comic, and I was a little underwhelmed.  Dig'n this Tars Tarkas draw'n, though, and I put up the great variant on the #7 cover again

 More up on here in the wayback-dug L Todd since I saw his Lovecraft tale Shadow From the Abyss in the early seventies.  Forty years later (2012), an article on the net reported on his becoming a carny artist, painting the funhouses and rides for carnivals (last image).  Since it was 2012, I of course just found out about the carny stuff
