And In This Corner

Onea the great innovations at Marvel was the corner box, and Gil Kane did an amazeballs job on Cap'n Marvel, I think.  I can't be sure, cause the tiny print'n is so poor.  If you know of a biggerbetterfasterstronger, please holla.  The second image is what I wish was the corner box

  1. Somewhere around the beginning of 1967, there were changes across the board in the corner boxes, so that the full figures of the characters were displayed. One month Spider-Man featured the usual shot of his head; the next there was his entire body. All of them also began to have the little TM notation, indicating that they were declaring a trademark. The previous Summer's FF Annual brought back the original Human Torch, and renewed their rights to him. Looks like Marvel's success had them talking to lawyers.
