Super Barbaric Barry Smith

The first image apparently was an album cover, but I have no clue whose album it graced.  I first saw it in a magazine selling cartoonists (?) artwork in the mid-seventies.  The second image is, I believe, one of Barry's rejects from his Conan Portfolio

  1. Cool, more rare stuff! That is why I pay the big bucks to follow this blog. I assume every one is sending you money too, right???

  2. This is definitely not about money. In fact, I pay about 5 bucks a year because I put up too many pictures (is there really such a thing as too many pictures?) For a time about a year ago, I was tracking my adsense earnings because I read that at a hundred bucks I would get a check. Well. I'm a computer moron, and apparently I didn't set things up right, because as I approached the payment goal, I suddenly got zeroed out and started over (sheesh). Sooo, now I don't even pay attention to that. This blog is about posting everything I love, and hoping others dig "the rare stuff" too. Since I don't make any money, I really do appreciate comments--that's one of my big rewards for doing all this

  3. Well my comment was to make you laugh so I hope it worked. I check it every day bu tcan only comment while (shhh) at work because for some reason my iMac / Safari will not show the comment box. Keep up the good work. I show this blog to the younger comic art fans.

  4. Thanks so much, Mike, and I did laugh, but now I can see my first reply wasn't as light-hearted as I intended. Money is actually not an issue for me personally. I've been very blessed, and, as John Belushi said, "I got everything I need (almost)"
